well you already were investigating the sole fact of fanart on imdb (using the pokemon titles as example) for 2 years and came to nothing

i don't say it should go full wikipedia, but at least some oversight in specific chosen cases is needed. like if a title is often vandalized with fanart it can be locked on a known good poster. same mechanic as with "partner posters" some of which are provided by shady resellers from wrong regions.
