The issue of categorizing Japanese TV dramas

Japanese TV dramas often have special episodes or side stories with a certain distance between them.

Like https://www.imdb.com/title/tt39709674/

It includes the main series, which is the first season.

Special episodes, usually at least 30 minutes long, are generally additional stories; Japanese dramas typically don't use multi-season production methods.

Bonus episodes (Spin-off) are short films that are released alongside the main series.

First season: use "S1:EX"

Special episodes: use "Unknow"

Bonus episodes (Spin-off): Is there a suitable genre that could be included in "Unknown" and interspersed with special episodes?

What should the title convention for side stories usually look like?

Hi ddonkkey-

In order for us to review, further do you have the 18-digit submission reference number for this contribution?

Do you have any further links for this series to verify how these titles were released? or any other further information that can help us to further review it.

Cheers!

@ddonkkey- Thank you for providing the links! Generally, spin-offs and/or specials depending on the series, should be listed separately as another standalone title and these can then be connected through Connections.

The titles should be added as how they were released and this includes the title name for them as well.

If these spin-off/specials were released separately, they should be listed on their own page and with the respective title names as they were released.
