Okay, but it would probably be better to actually watch the movie before arguing against someone who has. But in any case, all I was trying to do was to update the credits on IMDB with the more accurate information. But one doesn't have to take my word for it, it can be easily verified here:

As a moviegoer, I can say that last names add nothing to the understanding of this particular movie, Duplicity (2025). All the characters have their own unique first names, so viewers can't misinterpret the storylines. Maybe this is the reason why the production company did not use the last names of mostly all characters in the on-screen credits (see attached screenshot above). As an example, after re-watching, here is some statistics: 

• Marley is mentioned 41-43 times by her first name standalone, and only 1 (one) time as "Ms. Marley Wells";
• Fela is mentioned 50-54 times by her first name standalone, and only 4 (four) times as "Fela Blackburn".

As a contributor, I can say that nobody knows how many people will spend their time in future to re-check the cast and characters list of this particular title again and again, right after been watched. And this process is much easier and mistake-proofed when the credits list on IMDb represents the on-screen credits created by production company as closely as possible, including the character names.

As an open-minded person, I can say that here on IMDb you simply lack the functionality of other fan-oriented resources, where fan emotions weigh more than the factual base. In this particular case, you dislike that the production company did not include the last names of characters into the credits list and that IMDb "list character names as they appear in on-screen credits", and you want this additional information to be placed in the base. Well, no one is stopping you from posting an idea thread here on Sprinklr with your suggestions for where such additional data could be placed additionally to the factual database framed by reasonable rules.
