The Battle of Ripcord (Removal)

Hello Community, I have a question about removing a title from IMDB.  I am on the list of rumoured actors to be in this production called, "The Battle of Ripcord (2015)" and I know the filmmaker Shannon Lanier well.  This film has never actually been in production and has remained on IMDB for 5yrs without any development or pre-production.  When asked about why this remains up with my name on it and other performers I am friends with, the Director had apparently stated that he wanted our combined profile traffic to boost attention to his other projects.  I could obviously remove myself from the project, and I intend to, but I wanted to inquire first if there was a way to have it completely taken down, as again, this is not a real project that's in development.
