Suggestion: How to Handle Episode Numbers for BONUS Content
There are hundreds of podcasts and YouTube channels that self-number their episodes, but also provide BONUS content.
This makes things difficult for IMDb contributors. Should we leave the episode-number field blank? Should we add episode numbers?
The trouble with adding episode numbers is they will conflict with the pre-existing episode numbers.
See the screenshot below. You can see the producers of "The Michael Knowles Show" have given the three most recent REGULAR episodes the numbers #1277, #1278, and #1279. The REGULAR episodes are followed by two BONUS episodes.
As a contributor, I have two choices for the BONUS episodes.
(1) I can leave the episode-number field blank. (Currently, the best choice.)
(2) I can number the two BONUS episodes #1280 and #1281.
The trouble with choosing (2) is: the pre-existing numbers on the next two REGULAR episodes will also be #1280 and #1281. I would have to give these REGULAR episodes numbers that are different from the pre-existing ones.
If IMDb used episode numbers that differed from the pre-existing ones, it would be a nightmare of confusion.
May I suggest giving us the option of putting the word BONUS in the episode number field?

I'll give you a upvote, I once requested a section for 'Specials' that wasn't just the unknown episode section.
