Submission keeps getting declined

I have a film in preproduction now and we've just started the casting session and preparing to shoot.

I've attempted to add the film on IMDB but the submission keeps getting declined for "lack of evidence"

I've even linked the casting sessions and posts about the film but it still gets declined.

I've never had this problem before and I've added all my projects onto here very smoothly without it EVER requesting me of some evidence.

What gives?

This is frustrating

Yes, as the Titles in production mention, you can add your In Pre-production projects if you are a IMDb Pro member.

Hello NovaNova123,

Can you help us posting the 18-digits submission reference number? in order to take a look for you!

You can find the submission number on your Contribution History page.

Thanks for providing me with the submission number! I have checked and the new title was rejected since there is no evidence (Trailer / behind the scenes video, Production stills, Third-party news articles, etc) included nor any source for our editors to confirm and validate that your title is real. I encourage you to re submit the title with proper evidence and our editors will be glad to take a look for you!!

I encourage you to take a look at our New title and Adding evidence help guides.

This is my question. I've never had to provide any evidence before. Why is this submission requiring evidence this time?

Furthermore, this is in Pre-Production, and we clearly don't have a trailer, or production stills or any articles written about our indie production. I've attached the casting ads to a previous attempt at this submission and that was denied to.

It seems like a lot of hoops to jump through this time.

This is just unlike anything I've experienced before. This is an indie film in pre-production. I have had no issues with my previous 2 productions that were both indie short films and I posted those without evidence.

As our guidelines and policies for new titles mention, if you don't include sufficient information to confirm the title exists, your request may not be approved onto the site. If others were accepted is because there was valid and factual evidence. In this submission no links or sources were provided, therefore ended up being rejected. To get the title approved and onsite, the evidence is required.

What kind of evidence would be acceptable for something in pre-production? We are announcing this title now. What else could be required?

We posted the casting ads and everything required to the creation of the film and the production moving forward.

On our Titles in production help guide you can find further details and help for you to add the title.

Yes it clearly says 'casting notices' as well as 'contact info of production' as requirements, both of which were provided on my original submission. I've done what is requested and again, I've done more for this submission than has ever been required.

Just wondering how to avoid this happening ...

Novanova123 you are missing this part:

Please also note that projects in development can only be submitted via IMDbPro (membership required). In order to submit a new title via IMDb.com, the title must be at least in pre-production.

The way to avoid this is by providing the proper and necessary evidence.

2 things:

1. It is currently in Pre-Production. I've mentioned this. We've already got crew together and are in casting sessions.

2. This can all be avoided with an IMDBPRO membership?

Thanks for all your responses so far.
