Submission declined

#230425-204054-557000

I've been working on adding plot synopses for "Around the World with Willy Fog". So far, I've had my synopses for the first and second episodes approved, but my synopsis for the third episode has been declined, apparently because it "doesn't meet submission guidelines." What I'd like to know is what guidelines it doesn't meet and what I need to do to fix it. In short, what did I do wrong?

I didn't begin by saying "This episode is about", or anything like that; nor did I include the episode's title. There's no analysis or personal opinion, or quotes from the episode. I didn't use block capitals or shorthand text speak. I didn't include line breaks or any websites URLs. Finally, I wrote the synopsis myself, so I know I didn't copy it from anywhere, and I've never posted it on any other site. So none of these can be the guidelines I allegedly "didn't meet".

The only thing I can think of is that I used British spellings, but the same is true of the first two synopses I submitted and they were accepted. If necessary, I will "suck it up" and resubmit with American spellings, as it's hard to avoid using words which start with "travel" when writing synopses for a series about a trip around the world.

Please let me know what I need to do before I resubmit my synopsis.

Thanks.

Hi @Clare_N -

I reviewed your Plot Synopsis and can confirm that it doesn't violate any guidelines, therefore, I have now approved it and it should be live on the episode title page shortly.

Cheers!

Sorry for bumping this, but I really need to know what was wrong with what I wrote so I can resubmit without risking the same thing happening again. Was my use of the phrase "Gare de Lyon" (a reference to a Paris train station) considered a violation of the "write in English" rule? I so, I will rewrite that part.

Thanks.

Thanks.

I just wish I knew what whoever rejected it thought was wrong with it, but I don't suppose I'll ever find out.

Hi @Clare_N -

There was a specific term in your review that was flagged, in this case the term was used appropriately and your synopsis should have initially been approved.

I hope this helps!
