Stunt Performers?

Do stunt performers only receive acting credits in the Cast listing if they were a stunt actor for a specific character? Also if someone is only credited with "stunts" does that mean that they were performing the stunts or were involved with getting the stunts to be possible?

Stunts performers have their own section. They’re not added to the Cast section.

Stunts

  • The stunt list includes stunt performers, stunt coordinators, and related job titles.
  • Photo doubles and stand-ins do not belong to the stunts list. They should be submitted as part of the additional crew list.
  • For stunt double work, we only allow credited roles, unless further details of the role are supplied.
Examples:
stunt double: John Mauser
stunt double: Policeman
  • Please submit the uncredited attribute for any stunt work that was not credited on screen. Failure to do so may result in the entry being subsequently removed.

If they are listed as "stunt" they should go in the stunt department. Often, stunt people will appear in cast with a character name. In rare cases, IMDb allows people listed with "stunt" in the cast section such as Get Out.

Can you clarify this? Sure, probably sometimes the ”stunt people” could have an additional role in the film, but stunts are usually stunts.
