Stranger than Fiction (2017)

I am a filmmaker who has already a director profile on IMDb but a producer created it in 2018. Now I would love to add my first short-movie which has been shown in 2017. Since I think this short movie can represent my cinematic style I would prefer to be seen as the director of it.  For this reason, I have already created a request. In this regard, I have two questions: First, can I be seen as the director of Stranger than Fiction (2017)? Second, is it possible to connect this profile with my IMDb account or is it unnecessary to connect?
