Stage name
Hello and thanks in advance for your time. Seems my name was some how changed from (Shane D Wood) to Shane Wood for the last 15 years I have been credited as (Shane Daniel Wood) but I left Hollywood to raise my kids and only work in a small market in Southern Utah which doesn't report to IMDB. If i add say my last big 5 Zion commercials with my full stage name (Shane Daniel Wood) will it help as I suspect they have moved to some sort of AI system that switch my name based on my previous credits... as it stands i am (Shane Wood II) even though my first film was with Sir Patrick Swazye in 1991 predating (Shane Wood I) 2003 which suggest no logical Ai sorting. I don't wanna be number( Shane Wood II) leaving another Shane Wood in first place with and Art Department credit from 2003 on Lord of the Rings and no other credits. My 1991 credit I played a cop 3 days featured extra and then brought back to doubled My Swazye, as well as some Stunt Driving which qualified me for SAG membership. I am a IMDBPro member for 20 years Help Thanks Shane

Hi @ShaneDanielWood, Thank you for your problem report. Please refer to our Help guide on the roman numerals that follow IMDb names: How are numerals ordered? When there is more than one name with the exact same text, Roman Numerals are assigned automatically. These are usually assigned chronologically (i.e. in the order the names are added to IMDb), they do not reflect the popularity of the name - for example, popular actress Jennifer Lawrence is referenced in the database as Jennifer Lawrence (III). Can I change my numeral? To avoid confusion among our users and to prevent potential loss of data due to unnecessary corrections, we do not change or reorder roman numerals once they have been assigned, except as dictated by internal technical requirements. If there is still any outstanding issues with how your IMDb name text is displaying, i.e. what your name appears as at the top of your page, and in your filmography credits, please let us know and we can assist further. Thanks!
