I have posted almost 10,000 reviews going back some years. I reckon I have a fair idea about the guidelines.

I have reposted the review and it has been published.

What I have lost is the reactions to my original review. It attracted quite a bit of likes and dislikes.

I just think some troll can easily game the system. Just complain about a review and your automated system deletes it without much consideration.

That is what I think has happened here. This is the second time a review of mines has disappeared this month. Both of them got a lot of reactions within a short time.

Since I posted. The review for Spiderman: No Way Home has been deleted twice more.

It is clear that someone is trolling that review. IMDB is allowing it.

Thanks for your response. I have pasted it here. I thought the first review might have had a word which may have an alternative meaning in these urban dictionaries type of things. So I got rid of it.

The actual review has the spoiler tag ticked:

IMDB thought fit to delete my reviews of this movie four times now. The review contains spoilers and there is nothing offensive in it.

Once again the moderators just blindly take into account someone complaining about it and is just gaming the reviews.

Here goes. Spider-Man enters the multiverse. After Peter Parker's identity is exposed by J Jonah Jameson.

Peter seeks out Doctor Strange to return him back to anonymity. The spell goes wrong.

Certain villains return, they seem to know Spiderman. He just does not know them.

Taking off from the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home. This movie has a slower first act as Peter is pursued both by the media and law enforcement.

When a blind lawyer shows up it is the first nod that this movie has a lot that will appeal to Spidey fans.

This is followed by Dr Octavius, Electro, The Lizard, Sandman and The Green Goblin. All played by the same actors in the past versions of the Spiderman movies. As Peter Parker tries to give these villains a second chance, all hell breaks loose.

The motivations of some of the villains look weak and confused. However it is all there for one thing. The return of the other Spidermen.

Both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield return with their Spidersuits and it is a punch the air moment.

It really is a joy to see the merging of the previous incarnations of the Spiderman franchise. The older Tobey Maguire works well dressed as a trendy youth counsellor. Garfield has issues regarding loneliness and he might have found some closure in this film.

This might be the best Spiderman movie since the Maguire era.

@prismark10​ The only thing I can think of is that it reads more like a plot summary than a review. With only minor changes you could submit it as a plot summary.

Summarising the plot which is only three lines by the way is not against the rules regarding reviews.

I'm not the only one who summarises the plot and is also my style regarding reviews. In which case then almost all of my nearly 10,000 reviews will need to be deleted.

I have been upfront regarding spoilers. So basically without anything rude in the review. Someone is gaming the system and vindictively getting my reviews deleted.

IMDB will not do anything to stop this.

@prismark10​ ok can I just check what the title of your review is. Because if the title itself contains a spoiler, then that's a breach of the rules even if you have ticked the contains spoiler box. The first line you posted here was "Spider-Man enters the multiverse." That in itself is a spoiler so the review can be removed just for that if that is the title.

The first line: "Spider-Man enters the multiverse." is actually the start of the review.

The title of the review is rather boring:  Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The title of the movie!

I can see that your User Review was likely removed because the majority of the review content was a summary of the film rather than explored your personal opinions about the film.

I have reinstated the User Review, as there was some personal opinions, however, to prevent a recurrence of the removal you may want to edit the review to include more opinion verses summary.
