Soundtracks displayed in the wrong order

Until recently, unordered soundtracks would show up as they were submitted. For example, a submission like:

Song 1 (0)

Song 2 (0)

Song 3 (0)

Song 4 (0)

would be displayed in that order. Now they show up as:

Song 3 (0)

Song 2 (0)

Song 4 (0)

Song 1 (0)

Why has this changed? In many cases I can't accurately order the uncredited soundtracks. Sometimes the songs are difficult to hear, sometimes they can't be identified, etc., but at least they were displayed more or less in the order that they appeared in the films.

For example:

240510-001119-097000

240510-200748-565000

240512-201459-180000

240513-200812-104000

240513-233630-384000

240514-033058-624000

240514-180232-004000

240514-224249-492000

240515-041853-946000

240515-223946-679000

Keywords are showing up in a more random order.

Hi @Peter_pbn -

The new workflow I mentioned should also apply to Keywords, though I'm double-checking with tech staff to be 100% certain.  I will let you know what I find out here!

Hi @Peter_pbn -

Just following up here, there are quite a few different mechanisms at play concerning Keyword display ordering, the most significant is that the "relevance" display reflects helpfulness ranking, for example you can see this prevalently on "Inside Out", whereas titles with no or limited Helpful ranking then default to the order the keywords were first added to the page.  Also note keywords can be sorted and displayed Alphabetically.

Hope this helps!

@Michelle

Yes, but keywords that I submitted at the same time, and which have the same helpfulness score, are not displayed in the order in which I listed them in the form, as they used to be.

That's probably not a big issue, but I do think it had some advantages to use that base order since contributors who submit many keywords to a title may group them by type or order them by when they occurred in the film.

Hi @ind3 -

I confirmed with our tech teams that there is a new workflow system in place for unordered data, our system now processes and publishes items separately as opposed to in a group, so when unordered soundtrack data is submitted together, we are not considering that submission order and cannot guarantee the processing order.  This is the expected behavior going forward.

I hope this helps clarify the display changes you observed!
