Soundtrack AKAs need to become real AKAs

Names in Soundtrack credits can be linked to their IMDb pages, and if the name in said credits don't exactly match the IMDb name, a "credited as" attribute can be added.  The help text details how to do this: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/soundtracks/GKD97LHE9TQ49CZ7

However, these attributes are not proper AKA attributes on the IMDb platform.  They:
1) do not show up in the Alternate Names section of Name pages
2) are not searchable via regular searching as detailed here: https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/add-name-aka-search-function  (but are via an advanced search within the section)
3) (most importantly) are not addressed by name changes

If  John Doe is sometimes credited as Jonathan Doe, you might find a Soundtrack example like:

"Song Title"
Written by [link=nm0230335] (as Jonathan Doe)

which would display as:
Written by John Doe (as Jonathan Doe)

If John Doe's primary name is changed to Jonathan Doe, that soundtrack entry would be displayed as:
Written by Jonathan Doe (as Jonathan Doe)

The (as ...) attribute would not be cleared like it is for normal cast and crew members.

But more importantly, if the entry didn't have an (as ...) attribute like this:
  Written by John Doe
(stored as Written by [link=nm0230335])

and the name change to Jonathan Doe takes place, you end up with:
  Written by Jonathan Doe

with the actual credited name being lost because an attribute isn't added no matter how you leave the "Preserve previous name on existing credits" box checked or unchecked on the name change form.

Possible solutions to the problem: (from best to worst IMO)
a) Fix the back-end system so that attributes in the Soundtrack section, are proper IMDb attributes, and get all of the respect and consideration that they deserve (listed in AKA section of name pages, searchable in main system, attributes handled automatically when name changes occur)
b) When a name change occurs for a linked name in the Soundtrack section, have an IMDb staff member apply the corrections as necessary (I'm pretty sure this used to occur)
c) Alert the contributor when they perform a name change for a name that's linked in the Soundtrack section that they will need to clean up the affected soundtrack listings one-by-one
d) Something I haven't thought of?
