Solved

Some Plot Summaries include a full description of the movie/episode including spoilers and there's no way to have them removed

While watching some TV shows, like The Walking Dead and Stranger Things, I went to look at the episode's pages and found that the Plot Summary included the full description of the episode, including spoilers.

As per guidelines, this is not supposed to be permitted, but each time I tried to edit the page to remove that text, my request was denied.

Is there a way to get rid of these?

Also, it seems that it's the same guy Claudio C. from Brazil that posts these synopses and then reposts them as User Reviews...

I agree that spoilers should be avoided in Plot Outlines (kinda basic thing, since it’s often the first thing that people read), but you probably can't always fully avoid them with episodes. You obviously shouldn’t spoil if some character dies etc, though.

Could you give some example (just link the episode, no need to copy-and-paste the actual text)?

The Walking Dead:

Stranger Things:

If you don't know these specific episodes, just know that the 'plot summary' currently displayed is the episode until the very last minutes...

Hi patrice_gremeau -

Thanks for posting these Plot Summary examples, can you also post the related 18-digit submission reference numbers associated with your deletions, our staff can then investigate further.

Thanks!

Hi patrice_gremeau -

Thanks for posting these additional details.  Concerning Plot Summaries (which is separate from the Plot Outline), ideally the content should contain a deep description and analysis of the storyline from start to finish, we are also accepting of small spoiler mentions in Plot Summaries, but not full spoilers (ie. character x is killed).

I reviewed the Plot Summary deletion requests you referenced and can see that both were declined because the content of the summary for each episode title appears to meet our current Plot Summary Guidelines.

For more information regarding what is acceptable criteria I encourage you to review our Plots Help Guide.

Let us know if you have any questions!
