So, the original title is "The Weekend Movie" or might it simply be "The Weekend"?

In the submission numbered 210215-031023-731000 (for tt5521250), one of the numerous updates to be made is a title correction, for which an explanation is required and which was provided in the manner of a screen capture of the title screen as taken from Hulu's copy of the movie. Given the lack of contribution tracking (by IMDb non-staff) for the type of item in question, I cannot cannot know whether the item (1) was approved but failed to go live or (2) was declined altogether for some particular reason. Concerning the question at hand, I have no reason to believe that the original titling is "The Weekend Movie" rather than simply "The Weekend". Does anybody else know otherwise to be the case? I figure that the working title may have been "The Weekend Movie" but it actual release title wound up being simply "The Weekend".

When it aired in both Sweden and Australia it was titled The Weekend.  I've not seen the film myself - I'm just relying on memory.  Sorry I can't be of further help.

Hi, Karen. I appreciate your feedback. Thank you. I almost mistook you for one of the others such as Karen (IMDb) or Karen P.

Hi, Charlie. You're welcome, and I thank you and co. I don't mind how long it would take for the correction to go live after it has been approved. I simply didn't (or don't) understand how title corrections may not be approved and go live within a week of the submission being made, when evidence is supplied in the submission form as the explanation. I and other contributors have noticed lately that often the action expected in a title corrections is substituted with the creation of an AKA title item. I wonder if this is due to some kind of technical limitation that came to exist within the past year or two. I wonder that maybe the problem has to do with multi-item submissions as opposed to standalone title correction submissions.

Wow. Interesting. I never used to have this problem. I may need to look through my contribution history to see when this might have become a problem, except I rarely encounter IMDb title pages that ought to (by one standard or another) undergo title corrections. I've seen other folks complain about this, though. Maybe this is all the result of a good faith counter-vandalism measure was enacted in 2020 or 2019 or so. I do recall many years ago a few instances whereby obviously-incorrect tile updates were going live on the website. One time, somebody (whoever) managed to reassign Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) as Star Wars: Episode VI - The Return of the Jedi (1983), which naturally snatched the viral attention of numerous message boards participants, who wanted the error to be immediately corrected.
