Snow White ratings.

I am against Disney in general. But the ratings for Snow White with this huge amount of votes for a movie that has only been released a week ago is a sign that IMDb has no control over the legitimacy of the user ratings. It's just a hate repository. And we know that the hate for this movie does not come from the quality itself, but from the fact that the heroine is more active in the unfolding of the story and being played by an actress who is not 'snow as white'. You should have a little more control over the ratings legitimacy. 229000 votes in just one week? With a Manos the Hands of Fate-like rating of 1.5? You know that this is simply impossible if not for a organized hate campaign against the movie (which by the way I don't have the slightest intention to see, in case someone think I'm biased). And what about other movies? How can users think that IMDb ratings are a reliable reference for any other movie? Take better care of your site, guys. Thanks.

It is a little hard to understand that this rating can be the result of a weighted average.

It is simply impossible.

Hello angelopilla47 Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our voting system already detects and defeats attempts to stuff the ballot and skew the rating, as demonstrated by the difference between the weighted average and the arithmetic mean on the vast majority of titles in the database. For additional information about IMDb ratings and weighted averages, please refer to our FAQ. Cheers!
