However, if you search for titles with this type of movie connection, you will find a lot of recent titles which "alternate language version of" connections are mistakenly attached to.

These examples must have been added by inexperienced contributors unaware of the rule, so here's what I suggest: Implement a warning like "An 'alternate language version of' movie connection must be added only to titles that were made concurrently using the same sets and sometimes overlapping cast/crews, which is now an obsolete practice. Are you sure?" which the contributor must acknowledge and tick a check box before sending such a connection.
