Shouldn't Cosmos: Possible Worlds be the second season of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey

Originally, it was announced as the second season of Cosmos but then was postponed because of the allegations against Neil deGrasse Tyson. They star the same host. They are done by the same production companies. Shouldn't they be a single series with multiple seasons?

Hey Adrian - with the same host/production team it seems to me like this is probably an anthology series. You can see more information on how we deal with those here:

@Grayson

Does that mean you are going to fix it into a single series?

Anyone can submit a title merge, it doesn't need to be staff:

This seems like one of those things that would be much easier for a staff member to do. I've done it before and it is a pain to do and then it's not always assured that the editors will accept the changes (and sometimes they accept the move of some episodes but not all episodes). Then, you have to wait for all episodes to be removed from the one serious before you can do the title merges.

Edit: Also, title changes aren't trackable so it's a guessing game as to whether they've been rejected or are just in process. I've submitted title changes for all 13 episodes. So, now the waiting.

It looks like all of my moves of the episodes were declined as the Title Core processing date is November 18, when I submitted all these title changes.

So, now what?

For good measure, those reference numbers present here a contributor should.

When the "Oldest item" date is the date when you submitted, that surely means your submissions could still be pending.

While title/episode corrections are not part of the tracking feature, it is easy to see whether the title has changed in the summary of the regular update history.

@Peter_pbn

You do realize that I know how to check whether things have moved, right? The episodes are still listed under which is exactly what I expected would happen. This is why I wanted a staffer to actually do this.

The Title Core has now moved to November 20 which means they have been rejected.

Looks like this has been fixed, in a manner that will cause confusion to at least some people.  In the past I've searched for "Cosmos Possible Worlds" and selected that page, to obtain information about its episodes.  A few days ago when I did this, I was surprised to see zero episodes listed.  See the following page, which currently shows "0 episodes":

  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11170862/

After reading the sequence of feedback to this question, I figured out this episode information got moved to season 2 of "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey":

  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2395695/episodes?ref_=tt_ov_epl

This makes since after finding and reading the answers to this question, but very confusing until I found and understood this question.

In my opinion, something needs to be done to the following page:

  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11170862/

So people that go to this page via a search result or perhaps already have a bookmark to the page, know where to go for the episode information that used to be there.

I merged the series page of Cosmos: Possible Worlds into the other Cosmos page on 12/4/2020. The data processing page says the oldest title core is now at 12/7/2020, so I'm guessing this change was denied.

@Grayson

Can you check on why the series merge was denied and process it? The submission was: 201204-181818-732000

Thanks to you, people now have inconsistency in ratings, because episodes were removed from Possible worlds, and I now have one rating more on the website compared to the app, and I cannot remove it
