Should these keywords be merged?

I need to add a keyword and it suggested to different ways.  Should these 2 be merged together in one?

 girl-in-a-nightgown
 girl-wears-a-nightgown

Also these 3 keywords should be merged together

filmed-with-go-pro
 go-pro
 go-pro-camera

go pro and go pro camera could mean the title features or is about GoPro cameras while filmed-with-go-pro probably means that the movie itself was filmed with GoPro cameras.

There is also gopro and gopro camera, and I would use those since the brand name is offically spelled in one word.

If a movie was filmed with a gopro shouldn't that be listed in the camera section and not as a keyword?  So the filmed-with-go-pro then probably should be removed and added to the camera section.

The gopro-camera keyword should then only be for when the camera itself is in or reference to in the movie?

go-pro
go-pro-camera
gopro
gopro-camera
should then be merged together?

@ZacGates_BDS Hi!

As per now we have paused on merging keywords while we stablish a process on it. For now, the keywords will not be merged.

Thanks!

go-pro

gopro

Yes.
I will add that to my private list for a future public proposal to merge keywords.

Can you explain a little more what you mean by this? I was under the impression that there were some design or structural changes happening behind the scenes that literally prevents staff from blocking, deleting, merging, and creating auto-conversions for keywords. But in this thread you make it sound like this has all just been a policy discussion about a future "process." Can you elaborate what is going on and how soon there might be a resolution?

@keyword_expert Hi! As you were aware we have stopped because they have tried to improve the process we use to all the merges and blockings. I will keep you posted with any updates.

I have to admit I am still a bit confused, because "improve" and "process" are very broad words, so I don't really know what is being considered.

It's also unclear why it was deemed necessary to pause all mass keyword changes for months, unless (hopefully) the future process changes will speed up those keyword changes when they resume.

I continue to hope everything is resolved soon, because I still have lots of mass keyword changes to request but have been slowing those down for now.
