Sharon D. Clarke

@bderoes​ Not really helps to explain how it's messed up, last snapshot there is from Feb 2021, but like stated by @tom_wake, all the unexplainable changes were made in last few weeks.

@Michelle​ Thanks Michelle, but why was the page name changed in the first place? Judging by the Internet Archive page, as well as the current state of the attributes, it looks like there are far more credits attributed to "Sharon D. Clarke" than "Sharon D Clarke". Shouldn't this be changed back?

How would you judge the current state of the attributes when they are inaccurate?

IMDb guidelines say, among other things, "We make an exception to the "most-often-credited-as" rule if we have reason to believe someone will be using a different name for all future credits."

Clarke certainly seems to wish to use "D" – this is her agency profile:

My judgement was based on the fact that (presumably) all the credits with no attribute are the ones that are "as Sharon D Clarke", and earlier in the thread you said that only one was "as Sharon Clarke". My inference from this is that, of all the credits currently listed "as Sharon Clarke", all bar one must have been "as Sharon D. Clarke" beforehand.

I do take the point that she may wish to start dropping the period in future, but is there any reason to think that this is the case? Has her agency profile recently changed the name, and if not, why hasn't it affected most of her on-screen credits up until now?

Is there any expectation on roughly how long this might take? I want to add more credits but am hesitant in case it affects the undoing of this error. Thanks

Unfortunately I cannot provide a timeframe on when the ticket will be handled/resolved.  In the meantime, if you have credits to add, I would suggest that you go ahead and submit them, making sure to include any relevant details in the Explanation field for context when our editors do investigate.
