Series Changed to Film
Hi,
I have what I thought was going to be a series. We did a pilot but in the long run changed it to be a film. IMDB still shows it as a series and I am having a difficult time getting them to change it. Can anyone shed some light on how to help with this? Thank you.

Rick: The general idea is that you need to submit a Title Correction, to change the formatting of the title, which is how IMDb distinguishes between TV series and movies.
If your title is currently listed as
"The Example" (2024)
you would need to submit a correction to make it instead
The Example (2024)
which, as you can see, lacks the quotation marks around the title proper. Having quotation marks around the title proper is IMDb's indicator of a TV series.
When you submit the correction, please include an explanation that this title is not going to be a TV series, but will be a film instead. If you have a link to prove that the title will be a film rather than a TV series, provide that in the explanation. Also, please indicate what your job is on the title (director, producer, etc.).
Good luck!

Is the correct release date already on the title's release date page?
If not, you can add it.

If it is, please share which title it is (URL please), so we can advise you.

Hi @rickreidling -
As I understand, the title was initially meant to be a series and a pilot was shot, but the pilot was turned into a short film instead.
For the first screening at the San Antonio QFest International Film Festival, was the title presented/screened as a short film?
