Serial Wrongly listed as a television series

Howdy again,

Can a staff member please fix this. I tried to submit the correction and it got rejected at first do to formatting weirdly then unable to verify. Somebody has turned the 1937 serial Wild West Days into a television series which is comical since obvious since it's 1937 and it's long since been shown again and again that serials shouldn't be listed as television series.

There seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the help desk and what a serial is and how it's supposed to be listed. I actually replied to a message with a link to the forum explains that serials shouldn't have episodes listed and aren't tv series and I got another random response that was probably a bit of a canned response and then a response. It's perfectly understandable not to know what a serial is, even my father had no clue to what it is but there really should be a clarification section for staff members who may not understand what it is to how it should be listed.Best WishesPhil

Fran, Thank  you for replying. it was weird that it was even accepted to be changed into a tv series. Just to give you and whatever staff members who may read this a brief history. Serials stopped in the mid 50s. There was a small gap in maybe the 2000s when it would have been a decent idea to list this way by chapter but that was voted down many years ago and pretty much all the contributors who submitted the cast list you see have either passed, are really elderly, or me.

I've been submitting credits to them for the last few years including a few today. To list them in television like format is sadly a total impossibility because a lot of "credited" cast only appear in a chapter or two and uncredited maybe 1 chapter and most of the serials aren't available or are in really bad condition. Its literally one long continuous movie divided into chapters. Republic serials are usually somewhat available and the data is a little more because years ago a person raided the Republic studios filing cabinets before AFI could get to it and published a few books on them.
