Serial Wrongly listed as a television series
Howdy again,
Can a staff member please fix this. I tried to submit the correction and it got rejected at first do to formatting weirdly then unable to verify. Somebody has turned the 1937 serial Wild West Days into a television series which is comical since obvious since it's 1937 and it's long since been shown again and again that serials shouldn't be listed as television series.
There seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the help desk and what a serial is and how it's supposed to be listed. I actually replied to a message with a link to the forum explains that serials shouldn't have episodes listed and aren't tv series and I got another random response that was probably a bit of a canned response and then a response. It's perfectly understandable not to know what a serial is, even my father had no clue to what it is but there really should be a clarification section for staff members who may not understand what it is to how it should be listed.Best WishesPhil

Hi @phillip -
I'm following up to confirm that the title has now been corrected to the proper formatting for a serial title (the episodes have been removed and the title will be retained as a film title).
Thanks again!

As an aside, I'd like to point out to any staffer who may see this that movie serials SHOULD be listed in exactly the same way as TV series. Each episode of a serial is just as distinct as an episode of a TV show.
They need to be listed in the same way as a TV series is listed, just with a different designation: Movie Serial.
Contributors have been calling for this change for awhile.
