"Serbia and Montenegro" vs "Serbia" and "Montenegro"?
Hello,I have recently noticed that some films are marked as having released in "Serbia and Montenegro" after 2006, when Montenegro voted for independence. Historically speaking, it is inaccurate to say "Serbia and Montenegro" existed past this point, and references should list "Serbia" and "Montenegro" as two separate countries.However, when I attempt to make these changes, it gets denied. Does IMDb not recognize Montenegro's independence? How do we handle this issue?

For example, here is my most recent submission: 260520-195508-601000Knocked Up (2007) lists August 9, 2007 as the release date for "Serbia," "Montenegro," and "Serbia and Montenegro." Serbia and Montenegro officially split on June 3, 2006; therefore, it would seem to me that we should remove this last country.Likewise, other movies on this website should be checked to ensure "Serbia and Montenegro" only appear on pre-2006 movies, and "Serbia" and "Montenegro" appear on post-2006 movies.
