In Progress

Self credits- reality TV order problem, is there a way to fix/change algorithm?

I'm going to try to be succinct - in reality TV, long-running shows frequently feature flashbacks to previous seasons, there are often (archive footage) appearances from previous cast members who are no longer on the show. Example: The Real Housewives of Atlanta https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1252370/fullcredits/ Nene Leakes was in 213 episodes, and archive footage of her was used in 38 episodes. Porsha Williams was in 227 episodes, and archive footage of her was used in 16 episodes. If you go to the full credits, the cast are ordered by the TOTAL number of episodes (actual plus archive), not the episodes they actually appeared in. So Nene Leakes is listed at 251 above Porsha Williams at 243, even though Porsha has been in more episodes. This is a small difference, but it applies to every single cast member - none of the cast of reality TV are listed in the order of the amount of episodes because they are sorted by the inflated TOTAL number. Is there a way for reality TV credits to change the algorhytm or something so that the cast is listed and sorted by just the ACTUAL number of episodes they appear in? The credits for most long-running series are now jumbled and off and not in order of most episodes. Any advice? Do I contact the help desk?

Hi and thanks for raising this. I have passed it onto the appropriate team to consider whether archive footage should be included in the counts/ordering.
