Same Sex Marriage Details

I have recently updated the marriage details for a same sex couple following the death of one of the spouses.

The only text that can be chosen to accompany the “marriage end” date where one party has died is “his death” or “her death”. In same-sex cases, this does not make it clear who actually died.

Can alternative options be added to cover the above scenario? Even a free text box would allow us to put “Peter’s death” or “Paul’s death” which would clear up ambiguity.

Thank you!

EDIT: For some reason, this thread shows up as “private” on the message board - I did not request this and don’t know how to alter it.

Hi @CaptainSiCo -

Thanks for raising this, we have highlighted the issue with the appropriate team to review and consider systematic improvements for this use-case. In the meantime, we have modified this post to an Idea thread so other community members can vote/comment.

Cheers!

Thanks Bethanny.

Would I be right in thinking this post originally showed as “private” due to the S-word being picked up by an algorithm?

@CaptainSiCo We are investigating the cause, but it is likely that.

Thanks!
