Russian title

I am lost. I want the title of movie I add to look like:
Сталинград (2013) - in big bold letters.
Stalingrad (original title)
- the way it is done for this 'Stalingrad' movie. But I cannot find any information about how to do this. I have added the AKA title, but it does not appear as well. Could you help me please?

I take it you are dealing with a different movie because Stalingrad (2013) already displays the way you are talking about for users who have their country set to Russia and language set to Russian.

What is the title you are talking about, in both Cyrillic characters and in transliteration to the Latin alphabet? (See http://www.imdb.com/updates/guide/russian for the IMDb transliteration guide.) Is the film already listed in IMDb?

It is complicated to get a Russian-language title in Cyrillic characters into the database but it can be done. If you provide all the details, it will be easier to explain the process.

Thank you for your reply, this is not the first time you are helping me. I'm talking about this one: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3395494/ I have already submitted ðÒÏ ÖÅÎÕ, ÍÅÞÔÕ É ÅÝÅ ÏÄÎÕ (2013) as AKA title, but it does not seem to appear. What I see for 'Stalingrad' movie on its page here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1966566 is:
Сталинград (2013) [in big bold letters, as a title].
Stalingrad (original title) [under the title in smaller letters]
I'd like to have the same structure for the movie I add. Is this possible?

Tatyana: Looking at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3395494/releaseinfo it appears that you were able to get the film's Russian title into the database, but the title is listed as applying to the Soviet Union, which would not apply to this 2013 film.

I've just submitted a correction to get Про жену, мечту и еще одну... (2013) labeled as the title for Russia, as opposed to the Soviet Union.

I don't know if this will work, but hopefully it will.

On a related note, my past discussion with you inspired me to submit Наедине с природой as an alternate title for the film listed as Naedine s prirodoy (1988), known in English as "All Alone with Nature". This was the first time I ever submitted a Cyrillic-alphabet alternate title to IMDb.

As with "Pro zhenu, mechtu i esche odnu...", that film doesn't get labeled with the Cyrillic-alphabet title in big bold letters either, even when I set my preferences to "Russia" and "Russian". Presumably that's because the title Наедине с природой is also designated as a Soviet Union title, which does apply to this film released in 1988.

Your system don't accept Russian title. I don't understand why...

For exapmle: ''Priya: The Charming girl of India''(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2316985/)
Russian tittle: ''Прия: Очаровательная Девушка из Индии''.

Can you change this?

Ruslan: It is possible to submit a Russian title in the Cyrillic alphabet to IMDb as an Alternate Title. However, you may have to repeatedly change the encoding in your web browser during the process. Make sure you know how to set the encoding to Cyrillic (KOI8-R); the method for doing this varies from browser to browser.

Go to http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2316985/releaseinfo. Click "Edit page".

On the next screen, on the Alternate Titles line, select "Add 1 item". Click "Continue".

On the next screen, set your encoding to Cyrillic (KOI8-R). In the AKA box, enter the Russian title as:
Прия: Очаровательная Девушка из Индии (2015)

In the Country/Language box, select "Russia".
In the Attribute box, select "Cyrillic KOI8-R title". Click "Check these updates".

On the next screen, you will see that the Russian title has been turned into junk that looks like "ðÒÉÑ: ïÞÁÒÏ×ÁÔÅÌØÎÁÑ äÅ×ÕÛËÁ ÉÚ éÎÄÉÉ (2015)". Set your encoding to Cyrillic (KOI8-R) again and paste the correct Russian title in again (including the year in parentheses at the end).

If the background of the data is green, go ahead and click "Submit these updates".

Ruslan: I don't know Russian. What does everything in the topmost window (the window titled Языки) in your screen shot say? Is that the "encoding" part of your browser?

I see that it says "and I have tried to apply UTF-8 too", but you should be looking for a list of options that includes both Unicode (UTF-8) and Cyrillic (KOI8-R), among others, and selecting the Cyrillic (KOI8-R).

The process involving changing the browser encoding became unnecessary in late 2014 and following recent changes no longer works. All that is needed now is to enter the characters into the form and select an encoding attribute that can handle those characters. This example was captured form Firefox using Unicode as the encoding.

The form will accept, display and submit the characters but, unfortunately, the summary will still show the incorrectly encoded data.

The characters that can be accepted are still limited to those that can be handled by the encodings that can be selected as an attribute.

One more problem with Russian titles. When I open the page of any movie having Russian Cyrillic title, I see this title as IMDB display title. But only if this move was filmed after 1991.
If the movie has alternate title marked as "Soviet: Russian", it won't be displayed, only in special section of alternate titles.
