Role typos not caught

There used to be a warning in the contribution form when you entered something unusual in the role field for crew credits, and it helped catch basic typos. It seems to be gone.

If the new warning is reacting to any role which is not in the dropdown of curated roles, that is probably too strict. The old warning was only supposed to react to roles which were not used at all in the category, I believe.

Hi Peter

We have reverted the change due to this adverse effect that you have raised.

We are now going to have to take a slightly different approach to solve the original issue that you raised on this thread, which will take a couple of weeks to implement.

Thanks for your patience while we solve this.

Apparently "The role 'assistant producer' is not a recognized role, please make sure it reflects the on-screen credited role and is spelled correctly.", even though it is one of the most common credits to ever appear on screen.  This site becomes more and more bizarre with every improvement! @Vande Sorry about that.  As @Peter_pbn notes above, it looks like a recent change to fix a related problem has gone too far the other way.  We have alerted the appropriate team. Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime.
