Review still pending and missing reviews

Hi,

One of my reviews uncharacteristically is taking longer than usual to pend. My reviews are nearly always approved extremely quickly, like almost immediately, but this has still been pending for over 20 minutes. It's for the episode Hate from Law and Order, there are very minor mentions of the subject matters explored in the episode (racism and free speech), but only for extremely brief context and no personal opinion expressed.  Here is the contribution number:

#210916-065649-848104

I also last weekend suddenly had a review, don't know which as I have written a lot of reviews,  go missing without warning. This happened another four times between last November and this April, again have no idea which,  and despite contacting you directly many times nothing has been done about the problem. Is there a possibility that they can be reinstated please, or at least three of the five?

Thank you.

Bethany

PS: Am writing from another GetSatisfaction account, due to having issues with my login details, and from a separate email address from my IMDb account for not wanting to use the same email address for two accounts

Just to say too that I did submit a couple more reviews with changes to the wording for each and with shorter sentences in order to quicken the pending process and for the review to be approved quicker. This has on reflection happened a few times in the past few months where I submitted another review with different wording and formatting to the initial review and the edited subsequent version was immediately approved and the initial review wasn't. I wasn't sure whether there was anything I wrote in the original review that was bothersome, hence why I tried again. Although I have submitted more than one review, I only want one of them approved obviously rather than all. Preferably the original, unless there is something unintentionally bothersome. Thank you.

I have found by chance looking through my most helpful reviews  that the review that was deleted last weekend was my 4/10 one for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice from five years ago and it was a popularly voted review. I am at a failure to understand why. It was not overly negative and I was actually kind about my criticisms as I always aim to be when writing anything critical, and I did write quite a number of positives about it, including a few of the performances. In my mind, this was the work of the Snyder fans that have been more prominent ever since the massive Joss Whedon backlash/controversy on social media that is still ongoing, which is why there were suddenly a lot of positive reviews for the film in recent months. Can this review be reintstated please? Because of having so many reviews and with no way of tracking down the contribution number, I can't provide one here. Can there also please be some way of making sure that the review isn't deleted again? Thank you. This is my imdb profile: TheLittleSongbird's Profile - IMDb

I really appreciate your reply thank you. I just want to say that I am well aware of the rules and the terms and conditions and have always made a conscientious effort to follow them. I do remember quite a lot of what I wrote in that review and I firmly believe that none of the rules were violated. I do think respectfully that a Snyder fan (who can be extremely toxic on Twitter and their love for the film and hatred for Whedon are very strong) is responsible, as quite a lot of the negative reviews for the film have been deleted too, not just mine.

I am going to say I don't think I've broken them. I have always written what I like and dislike about a film etc in an evaluative manner, for example posting a brief overview, my overall thoughts,  the positives, the negatives and then an "all in all". I never swear or use profanity in my reviews and I have never made spiteful or derogatory remarks, condescension and spitefulness are pet peeves of mine here. None of that was in my review, whereas a lot of the positive reviews are full of them. I have never commented on certain reviews, as it sounds like a personal attack. I should know, as it has happened to me in the past. I sometimes say count me in as another person or something, but that is always brief and indirect. My review had none of that and I had no reason to do so.  I have never incited hatred or intolerance in any of my reviews  and have never done towards anything online or in real life. I wouldn't and abhor bigotry of all kinds. There was none of that in my review and I am a notorious anti-critic basher.

I've never posted time sensitive material. There was definitely none of that in my review. There were no unannounced spoilers, in fact I didn't put any spoilers in the review and actually aim not to in general. Whenever there are any, and some of my opera and ballet reviews in my early years did, there has always been the aim to label the review as spoilers and I have never in a long time revealed anything major.  I have never put any square brackets and don't like how they look on the page anyway. There was none of that in the review, none of my reviews do. Contact details, prices and advertising are things I never put in my reviews and am very wary of doing any of those online.

There were definitely no all caps in the review, that is something I have always been careful about. As a Brit, I have always written in English, though I do write clumsily. The only times when any other language has been used has been if the title of the film etc is foreign or if I am referencing an operatic aria in another language, which has always been extremely brief. None of that was in my review. I am very careful regarding the personal opinions guideline, in my Law and Order I very briefly touch upon what theme is being addressed but never rant about inaccuracies and such. None of that was in the review.

Again, thank you very much for the reply and you were very helpful.

I hope I didn't come over as ratty, confrontative or annoyed to you Daniel. If I did, I'm sorry. My people skills are not always great because of my autism and disabilities, but I do try. I really appreciated your reply and I genuinely mean that, I was only addressing the guidelines one by one and saying how they couldn't be the reasons for the removal. Thank you for this post too, I actually agree with you 100 percent regarding what you say about WatchMojo, not to mention their numerous inaccuracies when it comes to the facts, their irritating habits of over explaining and talking over, some questionable choices in their top 10s and some glaring omissions. Like their list for top 10 most hated people in Britain a few years back I think, and not having Piers Morgan in the list or as an honourable mention. You are also not the only one with this opinion, over half the comment sections in all the videos are pointing out pretty much everything you're saying, some also doing it a lot with some extreme wording. I also agree about people being offended too easily, that's why the term woke is really getting on my nerves (my vote for the most overused and abused word in the English language today)  and why Twitter is such an unpleasant environment. And there is nothing wrong with expressing a negative opinion strongly, within reason, and recommending better films and television, it happens all the time everywhere. Thank you again.

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out.

I can see that you may have accidentally submitted three review additions to the same episode. Two of your reviews were considered duplicates of the following submission: 210916-132229-719204 - which is live.

You should now be able to amend/modify the wording of the live review.

Regarding the missing reviews, can you provide the submission references of these and we can investigate what's happening.

Thanks for your patience,

Charlie

@Charlie

Thank you very much for the reply and for approving the review. Regarding the missing reviews, five as of last weekend, I have no submission references for the first four of them due to writing so many reviews and not remembering everything I've reviewed so I don't know which ones were removed. I do know the title of one review that was removed, the one that was removed at the weekend. That was for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Thank you

Thank you ACT_1. Very helpful tip. I though have been using WordPad since 2018 for this reason,   and it has been incredibly helpful in keeping accessible copies of my reviews.
