Review declined — IMDb staffed by Miss Jean Brodie, perhaps?

Seriously, I used the term "half-arsed" to describe the plot of a show, and my review is declined?

IMDb is way too prissy about the language used in reviews. No swearing (F-word; C-word; etc.) I quite understand, but this seems... draconian.

Maybe IMDb could allow reviews for adults behind an age verification pop-up? That way the use of common idiom and slang wouldn't be penalised (apologies for use of the P-word).

Hello Asterion

Can you help us posting the 18-digits submission reference number? in order to take a look for you.

You can find the submission number in your Contribution History BETA page.

Mate, can you help me by posting your 16-digit credit card number?
Seriously, if you can't even see my contribution from my signed-in account, then what the f*** is the point of you? Or any of this geeky, tech-centred, unintuitive, user-unfriendly sh*t?

The degree to which the plot has been lost and the tail is now wagging the dog in tech terms is simply ridiculous!

A complete waste of time and effort.

Hi @Asterion,

It is a standard practice in the Community for our staff to ask for the 18-digit submission number to review a specific contribution-based issue and provide support. I have however identified the user review you are referring to, and can confirm it was declined as it does not meet our user review guidelines. Your review must not contain:

Profanity, obscenities, or spiteful remarks (even if partially censored/disguised)

We therefore encourage you to edit and re-submit your review in accordance with the guidelines.

Thanks!
