Review Bombing

I'm writing to directly let IMDb staff know that there's currently a clearly coordinated review-bombing of Conor Allyn's In the Fire (See: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt17595094). This is so because not only was it obvious that the (now-deleted) user "reviews" of the movie had nothing to do with the movie itself and everything to do with attacks against the actress Amber Heard, but also because nearly all of the ratings so far are clearly from people who could not possibly have watched the movie. Indeed, the ratings statistics show that nearly every single one of these ratings are from the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and Netherlands yet In the Fire has so far only had a limited theatrical release in Italy. Where are the Italian ratings and how comes nearly of the existing ratings are from countries in which the movie has never been released?

In addition, judging from comments under the English trailer for the movie released on IGN's YouTube channel, most of which are blatant attacks and insults against Amber Heard that have nothing to do with the movie, I think any reasonable person can safely conclude that none of the negative ratings against the movie on IMDb have anything to do with the movie and everything to do with hate against Amber Heard. Indeed, it's almost certainly the case than none of these mostly non-Italian raters have watched the movie yet.

I'm here requesting you IMDb staff to fix this, however you can. And please, do not reply with this stock non-answer:

"Our voting system already detects and defeats attempts to stuff the ballot and skew the rating, as demonstrated by the difference between the weighted average and the arithmetic mean on the vast majority of titles in the database."

Do not reply with it because I know that it's not true. If it were, we would not be seeing such a blatantly obvious case of review-bombing of a movie as we're seeing with In the Fire where nearly all of the ratings are certainly from people who could not, in any way, have watched movie and who, clearly, are attacking it just because it features an actress that they do not like.

Do something about this, please.

Hi @dani_fz -

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Our staff in charge of the voting system will look at this at the earliest opportunity.
Also know that our voting system detects and defeats attempts to stuff the ballot and skew the rating, as demonstrated by the difference between the weighted average and the arithmetic mean on the vast majority of titles in the database. For additional information about IMDb ratings and weighted averages, please refer to our FAQ.

I'm sorry but what exactly is this meant to show (except to illustrate the point I was making, thank you) and how exactly does it help solve the problem I highlighted?
