In Progress

Review bombing on Breaking Bad and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms alike.

Apparently Breaking Bad fans have been "review bombing" AKOTSK episodes, and AKOTSK have been review bombing BB episodes alike. Below are some reviews of Ozymandias, now a 9.9 instead of a 10, clearly due to review bombing.

I would also like to note that some of the reviews that are supposably from Breaking bad fans on the new AKOTSK episode are clearly satire, possibly sent by AKOTSK to start a "review war".

Episode 4.03 of BB has also dropped to a 7.9, though there’s a chance that this could be unrelated.

I respect both shows equally, let it be known that I am not picking sides.

The season 5 episode 14 of Breaking Bad is known for its rating 10 for many years of any modern TV show. However, it has been seen suffered by review bombing by some toxic rival fans and rating is down to almost 9.6. How about your management take down those unnecessary negative ratings to bring a fairness in the reviews. Apparently there’s a ratings war going on between Knight of the Seven Kingdoms fans and Breaking Bad fans. The BB episode Ozymandias has lost its 10/10 or 9.9/10 rating suddenly because of internet drama. Is there any way to somehow remove these spam ratings, staff?  Note: This comment was created from a merged conversation Link : https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/data-issues-policy-discussions/breaking-bad-and-kotsk-beef/699cbc41980f7401327edac4 Title : Breaking Bad and KotSK beef

I know my opinion doesn’t really matter in this issue but this hate has presented you a chance to set a precedent and stop future incidents like this from occurring on your site. As a user of your site this episodes 10/10 rating was the main pull factor for me to watch that show and I can’t let that deter future audiences from watching it due to a petty feud with the game of thrones spin off fans. Please I ask you to return the episode to its original status as 10/10 before the 1 star reviews clearly seen by their titles and I urge you to set a precedent that this sort of hate will not be tolerated on your site. Thank you and I hope you do the right thing. The reliability of user-generated ratings is fundamental to the utility of any film database. Recent experiences with the reporting system for IMDb have demonstrated a significant failure in moderating clear instances of review manipulation. I recently reported several reviews that were part of an evident "review bombing" campaign originating from external subreddit drama. These reviews explicitly stated their purpose as "retaliation," yet the reports were declined by the moderation team. When a platform fails to remove content that openly admits to being a retaliatory strike rather than a genuine critique of the work, the integrity of the entire rating system is compromised. It is no longer possible to trust the objectivity of IMDb ratings if the platform refuses to enforce its own guidelines against brigading and harassment. I am expressing my firm support for the Forums of IMDb and their efforts to demand better accountability and transparency. Users deserve a system where the "weighted average" actually reflects viewer sentiment instead of coordinated external agendas. I believe that fake or coordinated ratings should be restricted or more carefully moderated, especially for iconic episodes such as Breaking Bad – Season 5, Episode 14 (Ozymandias). This episode maintained a perfect 10.0 rating for many years, reflecting a strong consensus among critics and audiences regarding its storytelling, directing, and performances. Recently, however, its rating dropped noticeably, which appears to be the result of mass low-rating activity rather than genuine audience re-evaluation. What is even more concerning is that this issue is not limited to a single episode. Both Felina and Face Off have also seen their ratings decline from 9.9 to 9.8. This trend is worrying and gives the impression of systematic rating manipulation, which ultimately distorts the legacy and artistic value of the series as a whole. Episodes of such historical and cultural importance should be protected from rating abuse. IMDb should take stronger action against fake or coordinated voting to preserve the credibility and accuracy of its rating system.
