Requesting deletion of item from my IMDb Personal Details

I am requesting an item to be deleted from my IMDb page because I do not wish it to be included.  The information is correct but I don't want it to appear on my IMDb page.  My request has been declined because they say they are 'unable to verify the information provided'.  But I'm not providing information - I am simply stating that I do not wish that piece of information to be included.  Please note, I didn't supply the information and I don't know how it has appeared.  What can I do?

Hi @terry_pearson,

In order for us to look into this for you, please could you provide us with the 18-digit submission reference for the request that was declined? You'll find this in your Contribution History

Cheers!

Hi, Ozzy!  Thanks for your speedy response.  The submission reference is  #260215-221006-395000        The information that I would like deleted is in Personal Details  'Spouse  Jenny Pearson (divorced)'   The information is correct but I would prefer it not to be included in my IMDb page.  Does that seem reasonable?  Best wishes,  Terry Pearson

Hi @terry_pearson,

Thank you for the information.

As this information is correct, we cannot remove it from your IMDb page. This is per our aim to be the most comprehensive and reliable source of information on movies, TV and celebrities. For more information, please refer to our guide.

Thanks, Ozzy.  A little disappointing but I understand the reason you have given.  In fact, I have now submitted the relevant dates which make the item even more accurate!

Hi again, Ozzy!  As I am unable to delete the item, I have tried to add dates but these have been declined as they 'cannot be verified'.  When I tick the 'provide an explanation' option, there is a panel for me to write in but I can't see any way to send a copy of the Divorce Decree Absolute document (Word document).  Can you help?

... sorry, it's not a Word document, it's a jpeg image of an official document.

@terry_pearson- You can upload the jpeg image as a link to a drive (ie. Google Drive, etc) and make sure it does not require private access. Once you have the link, you can paste it on the 'Explanation text box' of the contribution form.

Thanks, Maya!  I think I've now clicked all the right buttons and I have submitted the image of the official certificate as verification to support both of the relevant IMDb entries.

Hello again, Ozzy and/or Maya!  Just an update.  After being told I can't remove spouse/divorce item from my IMDb page as it is IMDb policy not to delete factual items, I then supplied evidence of actual dates of the marriage/divorce in order to improve the accuracy of the information.  I sent a copy of the actual legal certificate showing dates of marriage and divorce decree absolute via link ( as instructed by Maya).  However, my submission has again been declined for the same 'unable to verify' reason despite me sending the copy of the legal certificate.  I don't feel inclined to pursue this any further but I thought I'd just bring you up to date with that latest disappointing result.  I hope my IMDb reputation/credit isn't being affected by these recent submissions being declined.  Perhaps you would be kind enough to confirm that my standing hasn't been adversely affected.  Many thanks and best wishes,  Terry Pearson

I submitted the verification information to both IMDb pages concerned.

The contribution reference numbers for my two submissions in connection with this additional information are as follows:  #260221-144426-720000  and  #260221-144612-499000

As I said in my previous posting, I don't feel inclined to pursue this issue.  It is more important to me to know that my IMDb standing has not been adversely affected by having these contributions declined.  Thanks again.
