reporting user reviews

Over the last couple of months I have tried to 'report this' on duplicate/not relevant/inappropriate reviews. I get an email from support and when I view the 'status of contribution' every single one is declined, instantly. This happens even when I report both versions of duplicate, others not written in english, or a single line repeated 4 times.

That's great, thank you!
#180828-014030-751804 was one that was a duplicate, my submission was declined, but the review was deleted anyway, so just a bit confusing there.
thanks again

I would speculate that it was deleted before the submission was received.

well, that's possible, but the reason I mentioned it, is it was one of 5 or 6 times this happened.

..and here we go again - declined for not being a duplicate. There are a total of 7 reviews for this title, it is very easy to spot a duplicate.

Hi Amanda -

The duplicate User Review you reported for "The Wild Heart" has now been removed.  Cheers!

but, still, no answer to the ACTUAL issue. why are these being declined?

Amanda Foley, I'm not sure if the tools used by the basic IMDb data-editing staff to check for duplicates are necessarily as advanced as the tools used by IMDb Employees and IMDb Official Reps who have acknowledged and graced this conversation. The various company people have various roles, privileges and responsibilities.

I understand the site is huge and complex, but if a review is followed by the exact same thing under it, there is not much need for data-editing tools!
Also, for a while ALL reports were declined within a minute, so no way they were checked.

Well, the site is not guaranteed to look the same way to every observer. Maybe it's like special relativity even. The matter could also be that some of the submission reviewers do not have the technical proficiency understand every report that comes their ways.

special relativity! I mean, I said the site is complex but maybe, maybe not quite -Einstein  level propagation of matter and light at high speeds- complex.
Seriously though, if submission reviewers do not have the technical proficiency to understand every report that comes their ways, why are they doing that job?
Also, 4 weeks after I first started this, I am no nearer an answer to the question, despite this problem twice being marked as solved.

Well, there are indeed propagation delays whenever changes are made to the site. There is no joke about that. Seriously! It takes about 12 to 24 hours for any given data update to reach all platforms. However, in the context I was using earlier, I was suggesting that the way a page looks when you load and observe it may not be the same way it looks to somebody else.

you do know I  understand all that!?
Doesn't change the 4 weeks to get an answer

Due to the proprietary nature of IMDb, it might not even be reasonable for you to expect an answer to the question. For all we know, the company runs experimental algorithms, from time to time, to process reports. They are not going to disclose that.

This is covered in the Contributors' Charter at https://contribute.imdb.com/charter specifically:

"IMDb tracks each contributor's accuracy over time and if any contributor repeatedly submits data which is inaccurate or which violates our policies, their contributions will require increasing levels of additional proof in order to be processed."

when the submissions were reviewed (such as can be seen in some replies above) they were not inaccurate. so, not sure what policy I have gone against here.

Amanda Foley, how far back does your contribution history go? Did a majority of the totality of submissions you've ever made go live?
