Replace as Primary image Missing

The option to suggest to replace the poster of an episode is missing on the page. The only thing that can be changed is the episode image replacing the series poster. I need to replace the episode posters b/c the ones uploaded were not formatted for 9x16. I accidentally suggested that an episode poster be the primary for the series b/c I missed that it was for the whole series not just the episode. That is the only time I see the option to suggest the image as a primary is only for the entire series. I have verified that the images are indeed "Posters" so not sure why this is an issue.

For episodes, still frames are preferred as primary images.

How do I update my poster?

Does it make sense? Not really.

I understand they maybe the preferred but that doesn't answer why the option to switch the image is not present. I have followed that link already and it says you request to have the image as the primary but that is missing. So regardless of it being a still or not, the option is not there. The current one is not a still so that's a mood point. Do you know who I contact to get this resolved?

As @Peter_pbn mentioned, the images for episodes have to be a still, the image you provided as example is labeled as a poster. We use "preferred" on the guideline as if there are no stills for the episode yet we can temporarily use a poster, but you will not get the option to suggest to replace a primary on a poster type image.

@Bethanny Hi. Sorry for not understanding this. So if it's labeled as a still, we get the option to pick with still for the primary of the episode but if it's labeled as a poster, then we do not. Is this correct? So we could upload several stills and pick which one we want to use?

If it's a still you get the option, if it's a poster you wont.

@Bethanny Looking at other images for other series' they seem to frame the stills so that when the horizontal image gets cut off into a vertical, the characters are on there. I can't seem to find the specs for the crop, so that we know what needs to be in frame for the episode still. Can you give the specs, please?

When there is a landscape image that is selected as the primary for an episode, the image is automatically cropped to suit the vertical portrait orientation. In general, landscape orientation isn't recommended for Posters as our system will crop it to fit the portrait frame which may lead to a poor quality display. For non-episode posters, to minimize cropping, we recommend a vertical alignment (i.e. portrait orientation) with an aspect ratio of 1:0.675. For example this portrait image will display well. Whereas this landscape image may display poorly.

However, as most episode title still-frame images are landscape images, in these instances our system will automatically crop the image to vertical alignment, as the cropping is automated it cannot be adjusted.

@Michelle @Peter_pbn Thank you both for the help. So, Michelle with the specs you gave here for the poster, is this a good spec for the episode still landscape and where it is cropped to for the page of the episode that only uses verticals?
