Reorder Gallery Images?

Will there ever be a time when we can the ability to organize a photo gallery? Some galleries have hundreds and hundreds of images, many are duplicates. Would be great if I could put all the images from a scene next to each other. Or all the images of an actor next to each other. Better to notice duplicates or many that are so similar as to not need to be included. Not only to remove duplicates but to make the gallery look more pleasing and not chaotic. 

Is this ability in our future or should I forget about it?
