Removing an acting credit from movie that person no longer wants to be associated with.

I was contacted by a friend who appeared in a short film which I wrote some years ago no longer wants his name associated with the production. This is mainly down to his profession (Dr of Psychology) and does not want clients put off by his involvement in the film. I have submitted a request to delete the credit emphasizing this but it has been denied.
How can I get this credit removed as he does not want his name to appear. Thanks

Hi @Fienduk,

Please can you provide us with the 18-digit submission reference for your attempts to remove this credit, so we can look into this for you?

However, please bear in mind, our aim is to be the most complete and reliable source of movie, TV, and entertainment information on the web. In order to continue offering our users an accurate and trustworthy service, it is our policy not to alter or delete any kind of correct/factual information from our records.

Hi, Thanks for responding.

First attempt - #240907-113105-536000

I have submitted another today - #240909-124816-861000 which is pending and have included screen shot of text message asking to be removed (if that helps)

The person who is credited is not a professional actor and believes his reputation and business maybe affected by the association.

Hi @Fienduk,

Thank you for the references. I have verified that the credit does appear on-screen on this title and therefore cannot be removed from the database, as per our previous reply, it is our policy not to alter or delete any kind of correct/factual information or credit from our records.

Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for checking. Can you advise how someone would go about removing their name from the database. Data protection should allow for any records to be made private or removed. Am I able to just remove all references to the movie? IE stop it showing on IMDB. Thanks again.
