remove primary video display

Hello I like to remove the primary video on my imdb page. It's an older project I worked on but would like the first thing to be seen is clean and simple with only my profile and bio so things could look more up to date. I'm an IMDBPro member but can't find any option to remove primary video display.

If you're an IMDbPro member, you can manually choose which video appears as the featured video on your name page.  For instructions on how to make the change I encourage you to review the "Can I change the video appearing next to my headshot on my page" section on our Help Guide.

Hi Michelle,

Yes I see the option to change primary video. However I don't want to show any primary video at all. Is there a way to have the option turned off? Preferably would like the profile and bio to be the only thing people see on the top main imdb page.

Hi @lammer05​ -

Unfortunately, there is no "turn off" option to remove a featured video.  If you choose not to select a video from within your IMDbPro account, then the display will automatically default to the following display priority:

  1. Videos related to your Known for titles
  2. First interview by recency of addition
  3. Then first trailer by recency of addition
  4. Repeat for videos related to Known for titles #2, #3, #4 
  5. Interviews 
  6. TV Programs 
  7. Trailers '
  8. Clips
  9. Demo Reels

@Michelle​ Hey Michelle. I am having this same issue. I have updated my videos to include two sizzle reels that show more current work. And yet, when I go to change my videos, the only one that displays is a very old project and it wont let me delete it. Very frustrating. The new sizzle reels are set to public yet don't display for me to pick them as primary videos. The old video is the only one shown and is set to primary by default. Please advise.

Yes. I cannot get rid of the Keys video (an old trailer), and I uploaded my new reel to replace my old one. The new reel now shows up but I cannot even make it the main video that shows on my page over the trailer for keys. Please advise!
