Release Date Issue

Hi

I've been trying for months to update the release date for my short film Rich for a Day. It premiered at the Penistone Film Festival in October 2025, yet IMDb show a release date of June 2018, even though we'd barely finished filming then. There are updates showing the film was in post-production in 2019, so I don't understand why IMDb has accepted a date of 2018.

This is a major problem for me, since it looks like the film is 8 years old, making festival submissions practically impossible.

I think the data was updated by someone who didn't work on the film, since they're listed in the credits too and they left the project before filming.

Please advise ASAP!

Thanks.

Damien: Please post your last full data submission here on this message board (including the explanation you provided for deleting the 2018 release date). Some of the regulars on the board may review it and, if they can, they may provide suggestions as to how to improve the submission to get the 2018 release date removed. (Also, please include the submission reference number -- it's an 18-digit number that will look something like 260123-123456-789000.)

Thanks for the response. This is the explanation I gave for deleting the 2018 release date (the 2025 release date is already on IMDb):

Rich for a Day is listed as being in post-production in January 2019 on IMDb, so there is no way it could have been released in June 2018. Rich for a Day was in post-production throughout 2019 and up to 2022, due to Covid. The film received its premiere at the Penistone Film Festival on October 18 2025 (https://www.penistonefilmfestival.com). This was the film's official release. There were NO screenings, even for cast and crew prior to the one at Penistone. My name is Damien Blackshaw, I am the writer, director and producer of the film (as you can see on IMDb and the poster). I believe the Gabrielle Sciabbarrasi added the release date of June 2018, however she did not work on the film and is totally unauthorized to enter data for Rich for a Day. Please update ASAP

Please LMK ASAP!
