rejections of requests to remove duplicate images
I find it useless when a submission is rejected and the reason given is "Does not meet contribution guidelines. Your contribution has been declined. Please review the image eligibility criteria". This is the most unhelpful answer you could possibly give. I frequently find duplicate images within a title/name image gallery and whenever I request that the duplicate be removed, my request is rejected and no reason is given except that I need to read image submission rules. So if there are two images in a gallery and they are both exactly the same then by Imdb image standards they are not duplicates. It would be much simpler for everyone if the person doing the rejection could just tell me why instead of referring me to some long list of rules. Then I would stop wasting my time and their's by submitting reports of duplicate images.
Example of rejected duplicate image sumbission: #221220-014513-313902

I agree. I think IMDb is run by semi-literates who happened to get put into positions of control. A few days ago I submitted corrections to an atrociously written plot summary that needed some serious improvement in punctuation to be readable. The summary, as originally submitted, would have rated a "C-" grade in a high school sophomore level English class. My submission was rejected with the same bureaucratic excuse that you received.
I'm done with IMDb. I have better things to do with my life than to tangle with people who aren't qualified to run a shoe-shine stand. Let them stew in their own juices.

Hi @joseph_spinella-
There are unique exceptions made, as is the case for the images you reported, where the image is from a partnered-source and the display is reliant for specified features on the site.
As such these specific duplicate images will need to remain on the site.
Cheers!
