Rejected submissions
I really hate to hijack a thread, but I can't find a way to start a new one. I'm guessing here, that I have to have enough experience/comments before I am able to do so. I've had that problem in a couple of other forums. Maybe somebody with the ability can move it to it's own post. Anyway, I just had a pair of submissions rejected and I don't understand why.

It was in reference to a movie and TV series that seemed to come the same origins. I couldn't find any connection between them and posted in the FAQ for both. Below is my submission and rejection.

Hello gord_beacock,
I have checked the submissions it they were rejected since the FAQs are bad formatted. FAQs is where we store questions and answers raised about a title whilst watching it such as “Is 'Blade Runner' based on a book?”.
I encourage you to take a look at our FAQ help guide for instructions and details about how to format the submission.

I'd already checked the FAQ help guide and couldn't find anything wrong. The closest I could find was "Do not use block capitals." which I used on one word for emphasis. What did I do wrong.
I just noticed here and in the original, that I forgot the question mark. Would changing "Are these two titles related." to "... related?" fix the problem?

Hi gord_beacock-
I have taken a further look on your submissions and the submissions were rejected as badly formatted as the questions were quite long, written in the first person and contained an [error] which looked as though it may be an incorrect link for this name link [link=nm00053773].
I would recommend rephrasing the question in a more short and succinct format such as "Is [link=tt1293842] related or connected in any way to [link=tt11238096] as they appear very similar?" and re-submit it so that our editors can take another look for you.
Let us know if you have any further questions/issues!
Cheers!

Resubmitted as:
[link=tt1293842] and [link=tt11238096] seem to be the same story line, down to the estranged daughter. There are no links between them listed. Are they connected?

They went through, but the links aren't active. According the the FAQ Guidelines and Link Guidelines, they should work.
"Do not include external URLs – linking to a title or name page on IMDb is acceptable."
"[link=tt0305669] becomes Bringing Down the House"
