rejected ep credit. Did I confuse the system?

Hello good folk at IMDB,

I am trying to help an associate get credit for a film he brought a ton of money to.   I have been a pro member since 99.

I did make an error a day before and submitted a producer credit, it was rejected, appropriately.
I got the contract and submitted the appropriate credit, Executive Producer.  (He forgot what credit was until we looked at the credit.  Yes he does that kind of volume.)

I asked for the appropriate EP credit.

I uploaded the signed contract granting this person the credit. urn:alx:doc:937a93d2-a8ca-450d-ba84-56832d6ccf2d:5c928d24-f81f-4238-bca7-0bef29903d74

and received this, I

Is it because I made that mistake and it made me look shady?

Would it be something else?

Hello ijr,

The credit has to be resubmitted with the on screen end credits showing the Executive Producer credit in the movie credits. You can re submit and post the new submission number in this post and we can take a look for you.

You can find help and instructions in our Help Articles

Hello Fran, I resubmitted with an email from the film's lawyers (with many of the Producers CCD)  and his contract and was rejected by IMDB again.  The film wants him up and he wants him up.  It will help stop a problem.  It would be great if IMDB could reconsider.  I have never submitted anything false or had any problems in 25 year of being  PRO.

In this case on screen evidence is needed to have the person approved to the title. A screengrab from the on screen end credits must be added to the submission, another option is to add it on this post and we can use that as evidence. We are unable to confirm the credit is correct with the submitted evidence.

Dear Fran, The credits are wrong. I have shown evidence they are wrong from the filmmakers.  the filmmakers want it added.  The person wronged wants it. It would be great for it to happen.  It's a valid submission in a complicated situation.  Is there a tribunal to appeal to or others I can explain it to?  Thank you for taking the time.

@ijr We have confirmed this name is not listed in the credits so the listing is ineligible, sorry.  From https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/producers/G4ZQC6Z8XV2P8ZZX

  • A note on "uncredited": For films that credit producers on the screen, we will not accept uncredited producers. Exceptions are made for older titles that do not necessarily list all producers in the credits.

Mighty and awesome Col, thank you for weighing in.  I have been straight about his not being in the credits.  This was an oversite on that productions part. I submitted an email from the attorneys of the production company telling my guy to put up the credit.   If the producers of the film were trying to add would that help?  It was a very bad oversite that your awesome website could help alleviate and stop some pain.  He did what he was supposed to and is a part of the film in action and deed and should be in credit...  Respectfully, IJR

As mentioned in our Producers guidelines, we do not allow uncredited producers to the title pages. In this case the credits is ineligible.

Okay, Thank you for the consideration.  We will endeavor to get the credits changed on the film/video and come back.

Regardless, Wishing you all the best,
