real quote question

Hello,

I have a real life quote question, if a real life quote from "BOB" is

"I like dogs, I prefer cats"

do we have to submit the quote in it's entirely? Because submitting that quote into two separate quotes on two separate occasions is still accurate and also adheres to IMDB's guidelines, can someone within the IMDB staff help me with this issue?

assmn: Normally I wouldn't recommend splitting up a single quote spoken all at once into multiple separate quote submissions. In fact, the particular example quote you gave is only six words long.

If you have a much longer quote to deal with that you think would make more sense if split into two submissions (for example, if the person changed topics in the midst of a discussion), please post it here so we can see how you think it should be split.

I see but what if there's a longer quote but part of it is malicious and posting the non-malicious part that quote can stand on it's own, will it be approved? For example Bob says:

I like studying with Beth but not with Anna because she's not smart"

if I post only "I like studying with Beth," will this be approved?
