After a week of simultaneous reports on AOT getting vote bombed on both top rated episodes and show's main rating , it appears that IMDB , despite all the evidences ( Discord servers , multiple screenshots and the tweets of several people forming group for such actions ) , will not take any sort of action and has made it clear that this show has not been review bombed. Official solutions given by staff can be seen on this topic. https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/data-issues-policy-discussions/ratings-attack-on-titan-one-piece-bleach/64f53cb635e0d576dc4a780c?page=1
So first of all , they basically addressed everyone to their FAQ page and this is the one :
"Our voting system is meant to offer a representation of what IMDb's users think of a movie or show based on their votes. We don't collect or consider published reviews or critics' ratings or any other external factor. For the purpose of generating the IMDb rating, only votes cast by IMDb users are counted. If a film is rated lower than you'd expect based on published reviews, it means that in that particular case, IMDb users had a different opinion than that movie critics "
Yeah I don't even see the need of explaining how this isn't useful at all
But this :
"The rating for these titles are correct, based on the same weighing system used to calculate the aggregate rating for every title on IMDb -- there is no bias in how it is applied and it already reflects all applicable changes to detect and mitigate attempts to stuff the ballot.
As mentioned by staff earlier, we will not be taking additional action or comment further."
"there is no bias in how it is applied" yeah sure
"we will not be taking additional action or comment further" I mean i'm not surprised at all . Who didn't expect such thing though? Bleach and One piece votes get fixed within seconds and then there is AOT.
It just gets better when you think how they would have reacted if AOT community had done such thing in order to increase the ratings. With all this being said , it appears that nothing useful is getting out of this reports.

Quick context: review bombing for some animes going on, aot was/ is being heavily targeted but the thread for this was considered solved.
The mods say that their system is working and there does not need to be further action, but seriously how does this make sense? When episodes are clear as day dropped from the top 10 positions of all episodes to the 50-70th positions surely that means the weighted mean is being affected by the review bombing.
Surely the simplest solution would be to remove all ratings on aot in the past 7 to 10 days, this would get rid of all the review bombing as well as all the inflation from fans trying to prop it back up.
Am I missing something on how the system works? Is there some sort of biweekly cleanup or is this “system” just the weighted mean.
I’m not trying to be rude or toxic but I’m just genuinely confused.
Thanks.

Stop merging everything about the review bombing into that thread, the ratings for aot are dropping day by day you could literally tell by eyesight alone you wouldn’t even need to look at the data that the mods can look at.
But yet somehow some mods think their system is working when it’s absolutely not, it’s honestly a clear case of bias because we all know what would happen if this happened to breaking bad.

Code geass and now vinland saga (on top if more attack on titan) thousands of ratings for episodes 6+ and TEN + years old getting all bombed by the same discord. It is now approaching an epidemic on the site. Are the ratings just nothing now? Its crazy how nothing is being done.

We still have no news and no answers about the Attack on Titan review bomb. It’s sad to see every big episodes of the show getting massively review bombed for the past 2 weeks. We have no answers even if we have proves that it comes from a discord group of 6000 members. It’s almost like if IMDB is encouraging them by showing there is no consequences.

One Guy has organized over Discord a massive downvoting campaign to downvote every high rated aot episode. Will the imdb staff do something or not? Even other animes get rightnow downvoted aswell by the same group.

I would like to bring to your attention a concerning issue regarding the ratings of several episodes of Attack on Titan on IMDb. Until approximately 2-3 weeks ago, a number of episodes from the series, including 'Memories of the Future,' 'From You, 2000 Years Ago,' 'Midnight Sun,' 'Hero,' and 'Assault,' consistently held ratings of 9.9/10. However, a recent development has raised concerns within the fan community. It has come to our attention that a group present in three different social media platforms has organized a mass-downvoting campaign against Attack on Titan. This coordinated effort has successfully lowered the ratings of these aforementioned episodes to 9.8/10, and other episodes have suffered even lower ratings due to these actions.
What is particularly disheartening is that these downvotes aren't based on genuine opinions or criticisms of the series. Instead, this group is intentionally targeting Attack on Titan, potentially with the aim of prejudicing the ratings for undisclosed reasons. Upon closer examination of the affected episodes, it becomes evident that while they boast a significant number of 10/10 ratings, they have also been inundated with an influx of 1/10 and 2/10 ratings, all of which have been posted recently as part of this review-bombing campaign.
I kindly request IMDb to consider implementing a rating protection mechanism for these Attack on Titan episodes, similar to the protection granted to the 'Ozymandias' episode from Breaking Bad, which rightfully deserves its 10/10 rating and cannot be mass-downvoted any further. Such a measure would help ensure that the ratings accurately reflect the genuine opinions of viewers and mitigate the impact of coordinated efforts to manipulate them.
I believe that protecting the integrity of IMDb ratings is essential in providing a fair representation of a show's quality, and I, along with other Attack on Titan fans, hope that IMDb can address this issue promptly.
Thank you for your attention and consideration.

This specific discord group now started to massdown vote other 9.9 anime episodes aswell. They keep rating 2/10 to avoid to get caught by your protection system. When you will act? There is not a single anime episode on top 50 anymore (expect one episode from vinland saga) If the staff dont do anything what point this rating site even have, if one single discord group can do whatever they want? Just because you didnt act they started to target other animes aswell because no consequences

Breaking bad had its review bombing reversed within 24 hours. All anime are being review bombed with AOT being hit the hardest.

Hello, i just want to report that there's one discord channel with 6000+ members and had tiktok & twitter account to downvote anime Attack on Titan and it dropped so bad, also many episode of attack on titan got downvoted too, here's the list:
1. Hero
2. Assault
3. Declaration of War
4. The War Hammer Titan
5. Perfect Game
6. Memories of the Future
7. From You, 2000 Years Ago
8. Midnight Sun
They downvote with 2 star so IMDB system can't dectect their bomb downvote. Here's the proof that they bomb Attack on Titan:
Please IMDB staff need to fix this, do something about this. We kindly ask IMDB to restore Attack on Titan ratings. Thankyou
