Rating of Series and Episodes

I have a question I have been wondering quite a while: How are series rated concerning episodes and the general series.
My example is "Gothham Knights" that has 2 Episodes at the date of writing this:

Episode 1 has a rating of 6.2, Episode 2 has a rating of 7.4.

How can the rating of the Series in general be a 4.5 then?

Is it just a general opinion of users not having seen the episodes?

Hi @mediago -

A TV series rating is not the weighted average of the ratings of individual episodes. Instead, customers vote separately for the rating of the series as a whole via each title's series page.  For more information about ratings and weighted averages, I encourage you to review our Ratings FAQ page.

I hope this helps!
