Rating glitch? 8.7 to 7.9 in hrs
it dropped from 9.1 to 8.5 last week then to 7.9 in just a day but when I checked the ratings breakdown, not much difference from yesterday. can an admin fix this? Thanks

Concerning the ratings on your title, IMDb doesn't use the arithmetic mean when calculating the ratings, although the raw mean and median are shown under the detailed vote breakdown graph on the ratings pages.
Instead, we use a weighted average scheme; which means that while we accept and consider all votes received by users, not all votes have the same impact (or ‘weight’) on the final rating. For more information I encourage you to review our Ratings FAQ.
