Quotes not displaying on relevant character pages

Hi there,

Big General Hospital fan here. I recently added some quotes for key scenes involving one of my favorite actresses from the show. The quotes appear on episode pages like this one but not on the relevant character pages like this one and this one.

Can anyone tell if I contributed something incorrectly? How do I get the quotes to appear on the character pages as well?

@alfred10514 Thanks for the question. The character pages are shown per title so in your example, the page https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1383915/characters/nm1351042 has the relevant quote.

The quotes in your other example have been added at the top level series page (vs. at the episode) so the quotes here are extracted from here. Over the long term, we would like to fix this such that episode quotes are surfaced at the series level (and on the series character pages), but that needs us to finish the migration to our new design and technology across the whole site first.

@Col_Needham Hi again. This was very helpful, but now I have another Q for you. I tried submitting top level series quotes as you suggested, but the same quotes I successfully submitted at the episode level previously keep getting declined at the top series level as "Bad formatting". Any idea what I could be doing wrong? If it helps, one sample contribution number is 230117-100822-270000

As it says in the update form and help page, quotes should usually be submitted to episodes, and "Quotes submitted at series level should represent repeated lines or themes of the show." If you think the quotes are relevant at the series level, perhaps you can resubmit and use the explanation field to persuade the editors that is the case.
