Putting an official birth date on your profile?
I've been continuously baffled by how people get their official birth status listed on their profile? Do we have to mail in our birth certificate to IMDb? Or is this meant for more established actor/director/producers of whom have their "people" take care of such things?

In order to add birthdates to the site, this can be added by any contributor and you do not need to be an established actor/producer/writer to do so. However, we do require for verifiable supporting evidence to be linked or added to the submissions so that our editors can review it accordingly.
For birthdates, we are looking for links to public records, printed publications, or official documents (driver's license, birth certificates, passports). Something important to note is that we do not accept evidence from unverifiable sources. For example, Wikipedia or any collaboratively edited wiki-style sites unless these include online citations and external links which provide supporting evidence of the subject's birth date.
