Solved

Publishing date issue

Hello I have a problem with the release date of the movie l’amore che ho, I tried several times to correct the release date but my request is always rejected. The screening at the Turin film festival was a screening of a pre-release and the real release date was in 2025.

You'll find attached all the official documentation stating our film L'Amore che ho" (original

Italian title) has been completed in 2025 and theatrically released for the first time in Italy on

May 6th, 2025. In particular you'll find attached:

  • Letter dated 29.4.2025 from laboratory Laser Film stating that the full range of deliveries has
  • been delivered to film's producer Dea Film
  • Statement from the Italian Ministry of Culture providing with the certificate for film's public screening on April 23rd, 2025 from Cineteca Nazionale stating that film master official and mandatory deposit has been held on May 12th, 2025
  • Statement from SIAE (Italian Society of Authors and Publishers - the Italian national copyright collecting agency) that film had its first theatrical release in Italy on May 6th, 2025

Hi Piedecess,

The statement from SIAE you referenced to is correct for first theatrical release.

Also it is good to know that IMDb lists all public releases, including festivals, as clarified in the Release Types section of official Help Guide.

The only exceptions outlined in Guidelines are listed hereafter:

  • Titles shown to non-public focus groups to assess audience reaction before making final edits.
  • Market screenings that are by private invitation only.
  • A closed online screening limited to jurors for a competitive festival.

In the light of the data provided by you and gromit82, the release date of 27 November 2024 (Torino Film Festival) is what IMDb classifies as a public release and this can not be deleted, but the date of wide release may be corrected:
