Protected tags like "Alternate History", and "Dystopian Sci-Fi"

I touched upon this in this thread, but there are many problems with how "Alternate History" is used both in terms of how the site views it, and how users view it. It needs a huge cleanup, and/or a presented definition from IMDB. There's also problems with other tags too (dystopian sci-fi). But because "alternate history" has "history" in it - the system delays, and usually denies (or a human denies?) any attempt to delete the keyword from them. I assume that a human is not denying them because I don't know on what serious basis someone would regard The Expanse as alternate history - a futuristic hard-sci-fi TV show set 3 centuries from now.

This is frustrating.

Hi Skavau -

Thanks for sharing your feedback about these unique subgenre keywords. As I understand, the keywords you mentioned are incorrectly being added to titles and despite submitting deletions for these instances they are being declined, is that correct?  If so, can you post some of the recent 18-digit submission reference numbers associated with your keyword removal requests and our staff can take a look?

@Michelle Some of them get accepted, but the problem is that there are many down the line that need removing - but in doing so, because they are protected, they'll be queued and probably denied meaning I will have to manually request their removal almost every time.
