production company name exists
I am entering information for a new documentary feature by a new production company called Karuna Films. It appears that there already was a production company by that name, though there were only two entries dating back to 1989 and 1997.
Is it feasible to have more than one production company by the same name? Any precedents?
What confusion might it create?
I recognize the importance of maintaining legacy information in IMDB, even if the pre-existing Karuna Films is defunct.

RayK: Yes, this has happened before. Notably, Drew Barrymore named her production company "Flower Films" not realizing that Les Blank had already given his company the same name. (Compare https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?companies=co0038439 with https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?companies=co0148520 .)
For IMDb purposes, you should use a roman numeral to distinguish the companies. Please submit the new company as Karuna Films (II) [in]. I am assuming that the new company is from India, too; otherwise it would be distinguished by its country code rather than needing a roman numeral.
